We researched other companies but chose Best Snag Scotland…

We picked Ian to snag our new build after researching a few companies. Glad we did, he found over 100 snags on things we would never have picked up on ourselves. He was professional, arrived when he said he would and sent our report pronto. We have already recommended Best snag to a friend and would happily recommend to others.

Ian has so much experience that we had total confidence in him…

I’m not sure any words I write can truly convey how great Ian has been. Having never bought a new build before and hearing a lot of horror stories we knew we wanted to get in a professional snagger. It soon became apparent that not all snaggers are made equal. Ian has so much experience as both a chartered surveyor and a site manager that we had total confidence in him.

He went through our house with incredible detail, finding many things that we would not have noticed or even known to look for. After the house inspection he patiently explained things that were not self explanatory to a layman.

We received the report the same afternoon!!

The peace of mind that we now have from knowing that an expert has checked over our house is worth every penny spent (very reasonable pennies too).

Other companies charge more than Best Snag but don’t have half the credentials…

Messaged Ian from best snag after I found profile on Facebook. Being a relatively new company I had my doubts which I told Ian about. He replied to me with all his credentials and if I had any issues, gave me the correct channels in order to report him through.

I had several changes in date with my new build and each time, Ian was quick to try and accommodate as best as he could. The final move in date I had, sadly Ian was on holiday however he quickly organised for his business partner from a different region to come and do the report with short notice.

I can honestly say the service best snag gave me was exceptional and I don't use that word lightly. They picked up 80+ issues with my new build that I would never have spotted

Some snagging companies were charging more than bestsnag and didn't have half the credentials that this company does. I don't usually leave reviews for companies but this service was incredible from start to finish

Full report was sent in less than 6 hours to me

Picked up things we never thought to check…

Ian recently surveyed our house and was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything. His service was definitely worth it and he has picked up numerous things we would have never even thought to check. Would highly recommend, thanks again!

Identified loads of items, many we would not have spotted…

Superb service. Very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. We were unsure whether we should have had a professional inspection but as we don’t have any building background it proved to be well worth it for the peace of mind it has given us.

They identified loads of items, much of which we would never have spotted. This has saved us loads of money on cosmetic things in the short term and much more in the long term associated with issues that would have arisen had our house builder not sorted them.

The report was with us the next day which was great as it meant we had it for our 7 day inspection.

Found issues that would have left me out of pocket to rectify…

Came round to snag our new build with just a few days notice. Lots of issues that were picked up I never would have noticed and would have left me out of pocket to rectify if it wasn’t picked up quickly. Really happy with the service and reasonably priced too! Would definitely recommend! 🌟

Went through everything with a fine tooth comb…

Iain recently surveyed our house, I cannot quite believe how many snags he found. He went through everything with a fine tooth comb and took so much time explaining everything. The after care has been great, any questions I’ve messaged and he’s been able to explain to me.

I could recommend Iain enough, if you are getting a new build it is definitely worth getting Iain out to have a look.

Meticulously covered every detail…

Ian spent nearly 5 hours at our new build meticulously covering every detail. I would never have picked up even a quarter of the issues on the report. Money very well spent for peace of mind and I had the report back the same day

Received the report within hours of the inspection…

Ian surveyed our new build house for snags today on recommendations from others in the estate and was nothing but the best service from start to finish. His professionalism was top notch and he talked us through all the issues found. The report was well presented and with us within hours of the snagging finishing. Professional and helpful from start to finish…

Ian and Best Snag Scotland were professional and helpful from start to finish, quick responses on messages and friendly to deal with. He gave us advice on what standard the house should be finished to which we otherwise would never have known or possibly noticed too late.

Explained everything in a way we understood rather than confusing builder jargon…

Ian and Michael visited our newly built home on Saturday 19th of November. They spent 5 hours thoroughly checking the interior and exterior. They explained everything to my partner and I, in a way that we understood rather than confusing us with builder’s jargon.

They were polite, understanding and worked around other tradesmen we had in at the same time. We had nearly 200 snags in our home, most of which, we would have assumed were normal until they explained the expectations on new-builds to us.

Overall, we highly recommend this service. We really appreciate everything the team done for us.

We feel confident approaching the developer…

Ian was a delight to work with. He was very prompt and clear in his communications. He was very accommodating when we had to change the date due to delays.

We're really happy with the quality of the report that he did, and feel confident approaching our developer with it. I would highly recommended Best Snag Scotland, and will definitely reuse in the future if we get another new build.

Excellent service from Ian and Michael who are chartered surveyors making me feel reassured that my home has been professionally snagged. Some big issues that could have caused issues in the long run if not rectified now so service was great value too.

As a first-time buyer of a new-build property, I had no idea what to look for when snagging my home. That's where Ian came in. He provided a straightforward breakdown of everything wrong with the property, from minor to more severe issues, that I could give to my site manager.

Communication with BestSnagScotland before, during, and after our survey has been exceptional…

I contacted Bestsnagscotland to carry out a snagging report on our new build. Ian was very helpful in our initial emails, answering any questions I had and explaining the process. Michael came to the house and spent 4-5 hours carrying out a detailed inspection and went through his findings very throughly.

We received his report the next day and were able to pass this onto the builders in good time. The communication from Bestsnagscotland before, during and after our survey has been exceptional and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We picked Best Snag Scotland after having a look at a few companies and are glad we did! Ian was very accommodating with changing the dates a good few times due to delay with keys.

Ian spent a good while in the property and then went over some of the major issues with us at the end. He advised us on how to handle the snags with the builder and this really helped us get all our snags done.

Definitely the right decision…

Came across there Instagram account by accident, sent a message for a price. Ian was very quick to respond with a price.

Although this was something I had not gave a lot of thought to or budgeted for, I decided to bite the bullet and book them.

Was definitely the right decision, Michael done our inspection, professional and went through things with a fine tooth comb, came up with things that I would have never have found.

Thankfully for me there was nothing major, but my view is this could save lots of £££ in years to come by getting done at the start.

So, like me if you are wondering on whether or not to go for the report, I would definitely say yes you will not regret it.

Gave me peace of mind considering all the horror stories…

Ian carried out a full inspection on our new build and was a pleasure to deal with. He clearly knew everything there is to know about new builds and walked me through everything once he had concluded his inspection. Not only does he know his stuff, but he was also a gentleman and happy to answer any questions I had.

The full report was received within 48 hours as promised. Thankfully there were no major issues with our property and only cosmetic issues, however there were so many things he identified that I would never have spotted. I would fully recommend them to anyone as it certainly gives you peace of mind given all of the horror stories. Thanks again Ian.

Excellent value for money…

I highly recommend Best Snag if you want to have peace of mind about your new build. The service and communication was excellent, Ian the surveyor was punctual, polite, very knowledgable and clearly explained issues found to me. He spent over 4hrs going through the house with a fine tooth comb finding 122 snags which we would have never found ourselves.

The report was sent very quickly so we are all prepared for the 7 day inspection by the developer. I would definitely recommend this company, it was excellent value for money, Thank you so much.
